What is Five Horizons, the beneficiary of MKD’s work?
Five Horizons Health Services (FHHS) is a nonprofit community-based organization that provides services from the Alabama Wiregrass, through the Alabama Black Belt, and across East Mississippi.
Founded in 1988 as West Alabama AIDS Outreach (WAAO), the agency’s original mission was to provide HIV-related outreach and prevention services to West Alabama. Since that time, the agency has expanded to include a variety of services for populations in need of specialized or general care. FHHS strives to provide high-quality, patient-centered medical, prevention, testing and case management services. With a team of highly-qualified staff, a diverse board of directors, and community partners, Five Horizons is positioned to effectively and efficiently meet the needs of citizens from the Alabama Wiregrass, through the Alabama Black Belt, and across East Mississippi.

​How can I secure tickets?
To secure tickets, you can either contact a Krewe member or purchase a sponsorship. Tickets purchased this way will be seated together in blocks. If there are remaining unsold tickets closer to Bal weekend, they will be sold as general admission seating tickets and will be announced closer to Bal weekend.
Can I purchase additional tickets?
Reconnect with the Krewe member you purchased from or you can purchase general admission seating tickets by contacting the Krewe, if available.

I lost my ticket before the event, can I get a new one?
Unfortunately, tickets cannot be reprinted.

What do I get with a VIP ticket?
The VIP MKD Bal Masque ticket includes access to:

The Captain’s Party (plus a drink ticket)- A kick off party on the Friday night before the Bal. It’s a great time to warm up your dancing shoes!

Emeritus Brunch- A come-and-go gathering on Saturday where our kind Emeritus members sponsor a convenient space to see old friends and new before getting ready for the Bal. All delicious food and drink is available for purchase, dutch treat.

Bal Masque- The best night of the year!

After Parties- Why stop the party at the Bal? Chuck’s Fish and Icon keep the night going with great entertainment- and you get in for free with your VIP ticket!

Bal Details
Where is the Bal hosted?
The historic Bama Theatre located at 600 Greensboro Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
Where do I park?
There is plentiful street parking available throughout the downtown area, as well as a free parking deck located just a block away at 2230 7th St.

How do I find my seat for the Bal?
You will be seated in a block section labelled with the name that’s found on the back of your ticket- either the Krewe member your purchased tickets from or the name of a Sponsor. We will have seating maps in the lobby and ushers available prior to Bal Masque start to help you find your seat.

What is the expected attire for the evening?
While there is no dress code for Mystic Krewe of the Druids events, we usually see guests in more cocktail/evening attire but we welcome the opportunity for you to dress to the Bal theme!
I'm a current title holder or royalty member from another Krewe. May I wear my regalia?
Of course!
Will concessions be available? What payment do they accept?
Of course! The Bama Theatre concessions, including full bar, will be open and accept card and cash payment.
What about beads?
Don’t you worry! There will be beads, beads and more beads- even in the balcony!
Is there a parade?
Unfortunately no, that would be fun though!
